Getting Ready For The Longboard Collectors Club Meet @ Huntington Beach Pier

After stacking this surfboard house of cards, I’m not sure what to bring to the Longboard Collectors Club meet, Saturday, March 24th @ the HB Pier?….. Should I sell, swap, showcase????

If you’re in the market for a vintage rider or wall hanger, you don’t want to miss this event. Approximately 50 club members will be attending bringing in 100’s of vintage surfboards, along with a few of these below.

1980’s Stack

Singles, Twins, Thursters, + Quads

There is a Lightning Bolt by Tom Eberly buriend in there. Can you see it?

Surfboard Palooza Down Pour

Despite the hurricane like conditions on Saturday, March 17th, Mar Vista, Ca., Surfboard Palooza Used Surfboard Event was a great success with nearly fifty surfboards sold. “Early bird,” Jason from, helped me set-up over sixty surfboards in the front yard right when it began to pour buckets. Buyers from San Diego, the OC, Ventura, Bakersfield, the IE, and around the corner in Venice shopped the selection during the storm of the year. At one point, boards began to blow across the yard. Thankfully, I invested in a canopy tent that allowed everyone to duck out of the rain to check out their new stick.

A few vintage beauties were sold including a late 60’s 50/5o Hansen to Oren;  Jason ( picked up a like new, mid 70’s Wind and Sea; and local buyer, Steve, scored a bright and rad 1983  Natural Progression thruster by Dean Edwards.

Thank you to all of the buyers who braved the rain and hail to update their quiver.

Also, a huge piece of gratitude goes to Sarah Auerswald for promoting this great community sale on
